Bob's Ride For Impact

From June 6 to July 28, 2009, Bob Horn will ride 3,800 miles by bike from San Francisco, CA to Portsmouth, NH to raise support for IMPACT Ministries. You can join him in this ambitious goal
Why would someone do something this crazy? That’s an excellent question. As a long-distance cyclist for the last 8 years, Bob has always dreamed of taking a cross-country tour. About six years ago, he set a goal to do it before he turns 40. Now it’s time. To add more purpose to this goal, he is riding to raise money for IMPACT Ministries. His goal is to raise $20,000.

Missionaries to Thailand
Gary and Paula Hays, Foursquare Missionaries to Thailand, are now the latest partners of IMPACT serving overseas. Their sending church (which also supports them as missionaries) is Eastside Foursquare Church.
Their ministry, called "TORCH-LIGHTERS",focuses on 3 areas: Children's Evangelism and Discipleship, Leadership Training, and Worship. They are based out of the Good News Foursquare Church in Bangkok, Thailand but their ministry extends all over Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, and Laos).
Here is some of the latest report from them:
"A large Christian school is about to order 1.5 years of KidsQuest evangelism/discipleship curriculum for their students (only 1% of the students are believers).
We are part of a Christian NGO (Non-Government Organization) network that is now building their own KidsQuest teams around the country
NGOs include World Concern, World Vision, Compassion International and others
We just trained the Drug Free program in Bangkok (churches from 4 denominations, a Christian radio station and Pattaya World Vision) and Chiang Mai. This program will go to schools around Thailand.
We are actively training and teaching a program called Celebrating Children. We will organize this program this year to be the first DVD-based interactive holistic training program for churches in Thailand. It will include how to effectively work with kids, at-risk kids, develop in-church evangelism/discipleship for kids and using kids as young leaders. We should be ready with a complete course by November.
Church business consulting:
Along with Bangkok Foursquare, I am consulting for a district of Assembly of God churches. The national president of AOG and his wife (Thais) are friends of ours and I am advising him on developing some small businesses for his new church. In trade, we receive training facilities for multi-denominational KidsQuest training at low fees...Our biggest hurdle, of course, is money. Once our grant money runs out in a few months we'll have to get real creative. We will apply for another grant this cycle...and pray."
Contribution can now be made to the ministry of Gary and Paula Hays, through IMPACT. They thank-you for your prayers and support!
